BridgeGap Webinar: Celebrating International Anti-Corruption Day 2025

Date: 9 December 2025

Time: 3 pm – 4.30 pm CET

Where: Online

This webinar is a special event organized under the Horizon Europe BridgeGap project to celebrate International Anti-Corruption Day. The BridgeGap project promotes transparency and good governance by driving innovative research and analysis. It aims to advance knowledge about corruption, including practices and frameworks for its detection, governance, and prevention.

The panel will present and discuss our latest report, Integrity Management Systems for Anti-Corruption: Organisational Case Studies of Best Practice and Critical Incidents, which examines Integrity Management Systems (IMS) across five high-risk sectors: defence, critical infrastructure, healthcare, sport, and banking. The document provides a comparative lens for identifying where and why integrity mechanisms fail across industries and countries, even when IMS are in place. It addresses a significant gap in corruption research by offering both a conceptual and empirical perspective on how integrity is institutionalised – and sometimes undermined – within the systems designed to safeguard it.

Following the report’s presentation by Adina Dudau and Denisse Rodriguez-Olivari (University of Glasgow), our expert panel will reflect on its implications for policy and practice by Roberto Martínez B. Kukutschka (Transparency International), explore its contribution to business ethics research by Stelios Zyglidopoulos (Carleton University), and discuss profit incentives by Bernhard Reinsberg (University of Glasgow). Finally, Alina Mungiu-Pippidi (Luiss Guido Carli) will outline the next steps for the BridgeGap project.

Target audience: The event is for academics, compliance officers, policy professionals, researchers, and journalists who want to gain a deeper understanding of our latest analyses on integrity, transparency, and accountability, and learn about effective practices to strengthen them.
